Dr. K. Alex Kim, Advanced Laparoscopic & Robotic General / Endovascular Surgery

Dr. Kiup Alexander Kim

Dr. Kim obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with minor in Mathematics from the prestigious Ivy League, Cornell University, Ithaca NY. He went on to obtain Advanced Science and Pre-Medical Course training at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia PA. Afterwards, he worked at the Andersen Consulting (now called Accenture) in Manhattan NY. Thereafter, Dr. Kim obtained his medical degree at the UMDNJ New Jersey Medical School, Newark NJ, studying under some of the world renown trauma and critical care surgeons, Dr. Edwin Deitch, Dr. Kenneth Swan, and Dr. David Livingston. 

Dr. Kim started his training in General Surgery at The GraduateHospital of the Drexel University, in Philadelphia, PA under theguidance of Dr. Jerome Vernick, Dr. Deborah Nagle, and Dr. Donna Barbot. He further distinguished himself through research and fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery at Temple University Medical Center, Philadelphia PA, under Dr. John Meilahn, FACS, Director of Bariatric Surgery. Dr. Kim went on to finish his General Surgery training at Morristown Memorial of Mount Sinai Medical Center NYU, Morristown NJ. He went onto further train in endovascular surgical techniques at Detroit Medical Center, studying under Dr. O.W. Brown and Dr. Jeffrey Rubin, before seeking the joys of Arizona sunny weather and its freedom minded people.

Dr Kim specialized in the full spectrum of general and vascularsurgery including the advanced robotic and endovascular applications.He has strong interest in ongoing development of less invasive meansof performing surgeries, and in turn making the lives of his patientsfuller and more meaningful through better recovery.
